Removal Instructions for Adguard

We are very sorry that you’ve decided to remove our program against advertising, Internet threats and obscene materials. This article provides information on how to remove Adguard correctly.

Control Panel

If you are using Windows XP/Vista/7/8, follow the procedure below:

  1. Click on the Start menu.
  2. Select Control Panel.
  3. If you are using Windows XP: double-click on Add or Remove Programs. If you are using Windows Vista/7/8: click on Uninstall a program link.
  4. Wait until a list of programs is fully loaded.
  5. Choose Adguard from the list of programs.
  6. Click the Uninstall button.

If you are using Windows 8.1:

  1. Move the mouse cursor to the top-right or bottom-right corner of the screen.
  2. On the appeared Sidebar: click on Settings.
  3. In the opened menu, click on Control Panel.
  4. In the Control Panel, click on Uninstall a program.
  5. Wait until a list of programs is fully loaded.
  6. Choose Adguard from the list of programs.
  7. Click the Uninstall button.

Manual Instructions

If for some reason you cannot remove Adguard using the recommended way, you can do it manually using the instructions below.

  1. Download Windows Install Clean Up installer by this link.
  2. Run the downloaded file (msicuu2.exe) as Administrator. It's very important to run it as Administrator. Follow the wizard instructions and install Windows Install Clean Up.
  3. Run Windows Install Clean Up using Start menu.
  4. Program window looks like this:
  5. Find and select Adguard in the list of installed programs.
  6. Click Remove button.
  7. Wait until operation is completed.
  8. Follow standard removal instructions.
  9. Remove %programdata%\Adguard folder manually.
  10. Reboot the computer.
