AdGuard v7.3 for Windows: our Christmas present to you

But AdGuard for Windows team has prepared something extra just in time for Christmas. They put a lot of effort into AdGuard v7.3 for Windows, so hopefully you'll like it. The new version features improved ad blocking (thanks to added support for scriptlets and new modifiers), some major networking improvements and a new option to activate AdGuard via your adguard.com personal account.
Linking AdGuard personal account
The concept is simple. Instead of entering ten hard-to-remember alphanumeric symbols to activate AdGuard, you can enter your login/password pair from adguard.com personal account. Once you do, the app automatically checks for a valid license key in your account and uses it to activate AdGuard.

Scriptlets support
Scriptlets is a powerful ad blocking instrument. You can say that scriptlet is an internal script (a mini-program) that we install along with the app, and then can execute that script at any time with the help of filtering rules. Putting it simply, scriptlets allow us to modify how the code of a web page behaves. As for the practical use, this helps to block anti-ad blockers, for example, and in some other cases when other ad blocking tools are not enough.
Support for $redirect and $rewrite modifiers
You probably know that ad blocking is based on filtering rules. Modifiers are used by filter developers to alter them in order to make them more flexible. $redirect and $rewrite are practically the same modifiers, and they allow to substitute resources. If you are not familiar with the art of creating new filtering rules, don't bother with such intricacies. Just know that it is yet another instrument in the hands of AdGuard filter developers that will help them block ads more efficiently.
I should mention that both $redirect and $rewrite modifiers are still working in kind of a test mode, but they are already fully operational and you should feel free to use them if you want.
Proxy mode to use alongside automatic filtering
Previously, you had to choose between using AdGuard to filter all traffic on the current system, or setting it up as an HTTP proxy to funnel traffic of particular apps or devices through AdGuard (but without filtering it).
Now you can have the best of both worlds, and even more, in fact: filter application and browser traffic on the current PC and at the same time use AdGuard as a filtering proxy for other devices (yes, now their traffic will be filtered too). Still not impressed? Ok, one more try: funneled HTTPS traffic will be filtered too!
To select the preferrable configuration you need to go to the Network tab of the app settings.
These are the most noticeable changes, but it's only the tip of the iceberg. Under it, there are over 70 less flashy changes, fixes, and improvements. You'll find the complete changelog on GitHub.
