Common errors
“Failed to start proxy server” or “auto proxy creation failed:” Usually related to network permissions or port conflicts with another application.
“Unknown error occurred” when starting the proxy: Restart the service and check detailed logs. You may need to reset AdGuard network settings.
“AdGuard is not installed or configured incorrectly:” This indicates that the main service is not active or not properly configured.
Certificate error (net::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID / “Your connection is not private”): This happens when the AdGuard root certificate is not installed correctly. Reinstall the certificate and restart your browser.
“Failed to install certificate:” Check system permissions and access to the certificate directory. Manual installation may be required.
CA.crt file not found: This indicates an incomplete installation or missing configuration files. Reinstall or regenerate the certificates.
