What are the license options?

You can choose how many devices you want to protect: Personal license covers 3 devices Family license covers 9 devices You can also choose between 1-year and lifetime licenses. AdGuard licenses are universal and work on any device (Windows, macOS, Android, or iOS).

Can I transfer licenses between devices?

How to switch to Family and protect more devices?

If you need to protect more than 3 devices, you can upgrade to the Family license. Log in to your AdGuard account and click Increase device limit. Or go directly to our Extend or upgrade page and enter your activation code manually. Then select the license parameters and follow the on-screen instructions. Alternatively, you can simply purchase another Personal license.

I’ve lost my activation code. What should I do?

You can always see your activation codes in your AdGuard account linked to the email address you used for the purchase.

My license is about to expire. How do I renew it?

Subscriptions purchased from the AdGuard website are renewed automatically. However, if you’d like to manually renew your license, or if you purchased an AdGuard license from a reseller, try one of the following options: In your AdGuard app, find the License tab and click Renew. In your AdGuard account, go to Licenses. Find the license that’s about to expire and click Extend. On our website, go to the Extend or upgrade page, enter your activation code, and click Apply.

How do I get Premium for my iPhone or iPad?

There are several ways to get premium features in AdGuard for iOS: 1. Buy a subscription from the App Store. In the app, tap Try for free and follow the on-screen instructions. You don’t have to pay right away — try Premium for free for 7 days before purchasing a subscription. 2. Use an existing AdGuard license. In AdGuard for iOS, go to Settings → License and click Log in. Hacked websites could be using your computer to mine cryptocurrency

According to a recent report from AdGuard, more than 200 of the top 100,000 sites on the web were hosting suspicious code. That may not seem like a big deal, but even sites near the bottom of that list draw a huge amount of traffic. The most popular one on AdGuard's list regularly pulls in around 60 million visits every month.

In total, AdGuard discovered cryptocurrency mining code on 220 sites over a three-week period. During that time around 500 million users unknowingly ran that code on their computers.

Bitcoin mining on track to consume all of the world’s energy by 2020

More than half a billion people may be inadvertently mining cryptocurrencies from their computers, smartphones and other devices, according to research conducted earlier this year by ad blocking firm AdGuard.

“How much money have these websites made? We estimate their joint profit at over $43,000,” the AdGuard researchers said in an October blogpost that detailed their discovery. At the time, one bitcoin was worth around $5,000.

Billions of video site visitors unwittingly mine cryptocurrency as they watch

The video sites Openload, Streamango, Rapidvideo and OnlineVideoConverter are allegedly loading mining software on to visitors’ computers, making them generate tokens for the bitcoin-like cryptocurrency Monero, according to security firm Adguard.

“We came across several very popular websites that secretly use the resources of users’ devices for cryptocurrency mining,” said Andrey Meshkov, co-founder of Adguard. “According to SimilarWeb, these four sites register 992m visits monthly.”

Although the developers aren't saying how much money they've made from their idea, online ad-blocking service AdGuard also found the Coinhive miner on over 30,000 sites and estimates the code generates $150,000 in Monero every month. For Coinhive, which takes a 30 percent cut, that amounts to $540,000 per year.
