How to add a website to exclusions
You can exclude specific websites from filtering using one of the methods below.
Method 1: Use AdGuard Assistant
AdGuard Assistant is our browser extension that lets you manage protection directly from your browser.
Install AdGuard Assistant.
Open the website you want to exclude from filtering.
Click the AdGuard Assistant icon in your browser’s extensions menu (a shield with the letter A).
Turn off the AdGuard protection toggle.
Method 2: Use the Allowlist
Go to AdGuard settings.
Click General → Edit Allowlist.
Here you can enter domain names you don’t want to filter.
Method 3: Create User rules
User rules allow more flexible and advanced control over filtering behavior.
Go to AdGuard settings.
Choose Filters → User rules.
Click
+ to add a new rule.To exclude a website from filtering, add the following rule:
@@||domain.com^$documentReplace
domain.com with the domain of the website you want to exclude from filtering.Method 4: Manage DNS filtering (Blocklist and Allowlist)
If a website is blocked by DNS filtering, you can add it to the Allowlist:
AdGuard will stop blocking this website.
If the website remains blocked after adding it to the Allowlist, it may be filtered by the DNS server you are using. This can happen if you selected a filtering DNS server (for example, AdGuard DNS). In this case, the blocking happens on the DNS server, and exclusions added in the app will not work.
You can fix this using one of the following ways:
Option 1: Switch to a non-filtering DNS server.
Open AdGuard settings → DNS.
Change the DNS server to the AdGuard DNS Non-filtering server.
Option 2: Add the domain to your DNS allowlist.
