Websites take too long to load
Try to reproduce the following steps one by one:
Go to Settings → Ad Blocker → Installed filters and make sure that you don’t have too many filters enabled at the same time. The more filters you have enabled, the more impact it can have on load times and performance, especially on older machines. We don’t recommend using more than 20 filters simultaneously.
Disable DNS protection in Settings → DNS Protection, or try switching to a different DNS server.
Go to Settings → Network and uncheck Use WFP network driver, then reboot your computer. Note that this may cause ads to appear in apps from the Microsoft Store.
If you’re using an antivirus along with AdGuard, add both programs to each other’s exclusions:
Add
AdGuardSvc.exe and Adguard.exe to the exclusion list in your antivirus. These files are located by default in C:\\Program Files\\AdGuard.Add your antivirus to AdGuard exclusions: Go to Settings → General Settings → Advanced Settings.
Find the option Exclude apps from filtering by their full path. Add the path to your antivirus processes, for example:
C:\\Program Files\\ESET\\ESET Smart Security\\x86\\ekrn.exe. Separate multiple paths with a semicolon. If adding exclusions doesn’t help, or if you use other apps that affect network traffic, go to Settings → General Settings → Advanced Settings and check the Use redirect driver mode checkbox. Then click Save.
If you see Waiting for local.adguard.com... in the bottom left corner of your browser every time you open or refresh a page, go to Settings → General Settings → Advanced Settings and uncheck the Filter localhost checkbox.
Glad we could help!
