Understanding how Apple works.

It is important to understand that macOS is a closed OS and software developers have very little opportunities to interact with other applications. Thus, we do not have that many tools to block ads in the third-party products. Click the gear icon → Preferences... → Network → make sure that "Filter HTTPS protocol" and "Automatically filter applications" are enabled. Press Applications and add the application to the list.
