Websites don’t open or ads aren’t blocked in Firefox

AdGuard for Mac installs a root certificate to filter HTTPS traffic. In most cases, this happens automatically when you first launch the app.
However, Firefox and other Gecko-based browsers use their own certificate storage. If you have a master password set in Firefox, the certificate may not be installed automatically. As a result, web pages may fail to open.
To fix this, you can:
Enter your master password when prompted by Firefox
Install the certificate manually
To install the certificate manually:
Open Settings in Firefox.
Go to Privacy & SecurityCertificates.
Click View Certificates.
Open the Authorities tab and click Import….
Select the file: /Library/Application Support/AdGuard Software/com.adguard.mac.adguard/AdguardCore/Adguard Personal CA.cer
Alternatively, you can download the certificate from http://local.adguard.org/cert using a Chromium-based browser (for example, Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge) while HTTPS filtering is enabled in AdGuard.
After installing the certificate, pages should open normally.
