AdGuard 2.1 for Mac: faster, stronger, better

Last time we were talking about AdGuard for Mac in this blog, it was about version 2.0 that turned the app on its head. Updates of such magnitude simply don't happen every other month. Today, we'll look at the new AdGuard for Mac v2.1: while not as mind-blowing, it serves the purpose of improving the app in a meaningful way.

$5 Billion Worth Man-Made Disasters Then and Now

We as a mankind developed ourselves a habit to measure everything in money, even such grim matters as the aftermath of disasters. For such megacatastrophes as Chernobyl the economic impact they had is almost impossible to estimate. For other ones we usually can assess the damages. For example, another infamous nuclear accident - Three Mile Island - is estimated by experts to cost the economy about $2.5 billion.

The catastrophes of today don't always involve casualties and explosions. This summer we became witnesses to a historical event: the Federal Trade Commission evaluated the damage Facebook has done with its users' personal data mishandling to be worth $5 billion in fines. Just think of it: it's twice as much as caused by a partial meltdown of a nuclear reactor.

AdGuard Pro for iOS is back from the dead!

Recently, AdGuard Pro for iOS received a very small update. Basically, we just updated localizations and one or two random bug fixes. It looks very unassuming at first glance, but it means a whole lot. Why? To explain that, we need to go back in time and look at AdGuard Pro's bumpy road to where it is today.

AdGuard 1.3 for Safari: keeping pace after a strong start

AdGuard for Safari proved to be a popular ad blocking solution soon after its initial release. It took us a bit more than a month to update it from v1.1 to v1.2, and almost half a year to reach v1.3. As you know, if we do something for so long, it's probably going to be worth it. This time is not an exception, hopefully: on top of multiple smallish but important changes and fixes, we have two big ones. Let's have a look at them.

AdGuard 3.0 for iOS: officially released and ready to block ads

About a month ago we posted an article about the first Beta version of AdGuard 3.0 for iOS. Today, it's time to officially release it into the App Store! Why is it such a big deal? Unless you've read the aforementioned article, you probably wouldn't believe how much new stuff there is, so I'll go over the changes one more time here.
