AdGuard Mini for Android v3.0 Beta: Be the first to try the new app
AdGuard Content Blocker is turning into AdGuard Mini for Android, and before the official release, we’re releasing the beta version. New name, new design, new protection tools, and one thing we need before we ship it: you.
Community has always been a huge part of AdGuard. Our filters improve because you report missed ads. Our apps get better because you tell us what breaks and what’s missing. This release is the biggest change in the app’s story so far, and we want to get it right.
What’s there to test
Here’s what the new AdGuard Mini for Android beta version brings us:
DNS protection
The headline feature. It works system-wide, so ads and trackers can be blocked across the device, not just in supported browsers (Samsung Browser and Yandex Browser). You can also pick a DNS server that fits your needs.
Video browser
A separate browser for watching YouTube videos without ads:
- Open the YouTube app.
- Choose a video and tap Share.
- Tap More, then select View in AdGuard.
Open a video, sit back, tell us if anything interrupts you.
Statistics
A new screen that shows how many DNS requests has been blocked, with Recent activity for a closer look at websites, apps, and services.
Browser protection
The familiar part: ad blocking in Samsung Browser and Yandex Browser. We’ve also reorganized filters into clear categories and added User rules for manual adjustments. If your favorite sites look different than before, let us know.
Subscription option
Don’t worry about the price: the features above are free. The full version with Tracking protection, Custom filters, and DNS filters is also there for those who want more control.
How to help
You don’t need to be a QA engineer. Just use the app as you normally would: browse, watch videos, check the stats. If something crashes, looks odd, or simply feels confusing, that’s exactly what we’re looking for.
Report anything you find via Settings → Support in the app, or open an issue on GitHub. Ideas and suggestions count too: one of the best features in AdGuard apps started as a comment from a user.
