It has been a year since our first moderators began managing AdGuard translations. And now it’s time to name the winners and to reward the best moderators of the year!

In the modern world so many of us live and work under the constant deficit of time, so it's only natural that we often weigh our choice towards fast solutions to problems in almost every aspect. We use the same logic when we choose our apps, many of which have become an integral part of our everyday life. Apps that don't require our supervision or additional configuring and are capable of instantly performing their job from the get-go, have a serious edge over the competition.

Despite all the internal and beta testing, sometimes things just don't go quite as you expect them to after a release. This happens even to the largest of companies, not to mention AdGuard. What separates good developers from not so good ones is how fast they react to the unexpected difficulties. We'd like to think we are among the former ones, that's why we don't shy away from hotfixes if the situation calls for it.

We have detected an attack towards AdGuard servers. The most important thing is: AdGuard servers were not compromised. Malefactors used existing databases of email/password pairs previously leaked by different companies. We believe that attackers were able to access some of the accounts, but only few of them which owners used the same compromised email/password pair. If you are not one of them, your personal data was not leaked. We made a desicion to reset all users' passwords anyway, mostly as a preventive measure.

While Apple users are watching and rewatching the new iPhone presentation, we simple Android folk have our own agenda — for example, new AdGuard for Android version! Let's have a look at the new features.

About a third of ad-blocking users pay for music, video, and movies. Much fewer millennials pay for news, books, e-learning. But those who do, don't regret.

If you are on macOS Sierra or High Sierra, you must have received a notification about available Safari update (when Mojave rolls out, Safari 12 will be mandatory). And this is bad news.
