Twitter will start promoting apps through it services
Twitter is aiming to increase its profits by giving you even more advertisement than before. Company’s new suite allows various companies to advertise their apps in promotional tweets. Twitter also allows to put advertisements inside other apps.
The new service has a number of functions. The first one is called Twitter Cards. This feature allows to automatically add Google Play and App Store links to small blog messages. There are also Promoted Tweets. These are special paid tweets that appear in people’s timelines. Users just have to click on the link and the app will be automatically downloaded to their smartphone.
New suite helps marketers to promote their apps outside Twitter, using a mobile ad exchange MoPub. This technology was bought last September for $350 million. MoPub has access 1 billion unique devices/ Every month this platform works with 130 billion ads inside Android and iOS.
This activity means a lot of trouble for average user. Mobile advertisements are going to be aroud every corner and to get away will be almost impossible. Unless you’re going to use a special ad-blocking service, like Adguard.
