Streaming services: which ones (and which countries) are supported by AdGuard VPN

Two months ago we announced that AdGuard VPN started to support major streaming services. We had just added this feature in test mode back then, but it turned out to be extremely popular, so we worked hard to make it as good as possible.

What's the trouble with streaming services

Popular streaming services, such as Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime, and others, often restrict access to their content for users who have a VPN enabled: they simply won't let you log into your account and watch series, movies, or livestreams. There are reasons for this limitation, but you have no reason to give up safe internet or your favorite shows.

The services that AdGuard VPN supports

We strived to implement streaming support so that AdGuard VPN could operate seamlessly on several popular streaming services while continuing to keep you safe. And it seems like we've managed to!

Streaming platform Available countries
Netflix USA, UK, Germany
Disney+ USA, UK, Germany
Amazon Prime USA, UK
Hulu USA
BBC iPlayer UK

Note: for a streaming service to work via AdGuard VPN, you must connect to one of the countries where it is currently available. For instance, Netflix will run on all servers in the USA, UK, and Germany (Netflix US, Netflix UK, Netflix DE), but there's no such thing as magic: Netflix won't run, should you connect to a server located in India, Spain or Canada.

The advantages of the new feature

1. Stay securely protected
Access to streaming services is good, but secure access is even better. AdGuard VPN securely encrypts your web traffic, so you can be sure that your online activities and personal data won't fall into the wrong hands. What's more, one AdGuard VPN subscription covers five devices connected simultaneously, which means you'll be totally safe.

2. Access content from any part of the world and from any device
We strongly believe that a good service should be user-friendly, so we try to simplify our products and develop them for all platforms. Currently, streaming support is in beta mode and is available on all platforms: AdGuard VPN for Mac, Windows, iOS, Android and in browser extensions. No matter where you are — at home, on the road, traveliing or on a business trip, your favorite series, movies, TV shows or broadcasts of sports events are always at hand. And on any device!

We don't endorse the use of AdGuard VPN to bypass copyright regulations.

There we go. Hopefully, you're already using the new feature. If not, you should definitely give it a try after reading this post. By the way, what streaming services do you use? Should we add their support? Leave your comments here or on social media. As always, feedback will help us make AdGuard products better and more convenient for you :)
